St. Georges Square

This couple wanted a more modern/transitional approach to their lifestyle and décor.  While they added an addition for the family room the ceiling was vaulted a little higher, tongue and groove material added and painted beams. 

Designed for lots of easy entertaining with plenty of space for many guests to enjoy, this homeowner loves to cook and bake.  Their love for boating in Nantucket brought coastal colours and textures into the scheme.   Finishes include matte and high gloss painted finishes in 2 colours and a textured wood melamine for the desk, bar and pantry areas.  Custom features include sloped/angled hood, decorative mullions with antique mirror on fridge doors, transitionally styled island legs, polished nickel door frames, mixed finishes and door styles and a magnificent solid walnut island top.  This is a large kitchen with many appliances, drinks bar, desk and mirrored pantry storage area. 

Every need was designed into the cabinetry:  electrical outlets accessible inside desk drawers, corner baking center appliance garages with interior lighting; swivel outs, pull out racks, custom platter storage and many more.  I also advised on the selection of the amazing pendant light fixture over the island, the 2” thick solid walnut island top, and the wood finish on the vaulted ceiling.
